I live in Mayo, the heart of the Yukon in northern Canada where people have a deep respect for the land and what it can provide for us. There is also a strong sense of stewardship for the land and the animals that surround us. It is important for me to create products that have a small footprint, use local ingredients as much as possible and that continue to meet the needs of those who enjoy my products. I find inspiration from the land around me and from the wonderfully creative people that I surround myself with. I strive to live a simple, self sufficient lifestyle and support other makers of things “homemade”. I have been making handcrafted soap since 2012.
Due to my remote and rural local, most of my sales are wholesale however I have sold at markets, craft fairs and events of all shapes and sizes often traveling long distances and in freezing temperatures.
I also work as the Manager of Heritage and Culture for the First Nation of Nacho Nyak Dun and am Vice President of the Silver Trail Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Association.
